10 Underrated Beauty Items Under $20

I love finding more affordable items that actually work! Here are 10 items that are a must have in your bathroom cabinet that you will absolutley love without breakin the bank.

1. 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream

I am obsessed with this under eye cream. Not only is it a clean beauty item it also works better than any other eye cream. I get pretty bad bags under my eyes especially if I am traveling a lot and juggling multiple dance jobs at once, and this has definitley helped them!

2. Unscented Simple Micellar Cleansing Water

I used to only use makeup wipes, however I recently bought this when I ran out in a pinch and I love it. I feel like it really takes all of my makeup off without leaving anything behind. My face feels fresh and clean when I am done, and it doesn’t leave my skin greasy how my makeup wipes sometime did before.

3. Dr.Jart+ Dermask Micro Jet Clearing Solution Mask

I came across this mask at sephora last year when my skin was acting up in Washington State (oh the days we could travel for work…. lol). Anyway, I was desperate for something to clear my skin up and this did the trick. My few problem areas were noticeably smaller if not fully gone and I felt like my skin was even glowy the next day. I love this mask! I always keep a spare one in my cabinet just in case.

3. & 4. Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Serum and Hair Mask

I found these two items from my friend Brooklyn Calvert, who has bomb hair, so I knew I needed this items ASAP. And as an avid Trader Joe’s goer, I was shocked I hadn’t used these sooner. These two are a great alternative to more expensive hair masks and serums such as Olaplex oil and leave in smoother and It’s a 10 leave in product. I still love the more expensive ones, however I find myself alternating between those items and the Trader Joe’s Serum and Mask to make them last even longer. I linked the serum and mask on amazon, however the best way to purchase these would be to head into your local Trader Joe’s store.

5. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

The moisturizer is the one! I bought this simply becuase I ran out of my Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer, and I was waiting on my order from Sephora for the TATCHA the Water Cream. And I thought this would be a throwaway cream honestly. However, my skin was never looking better after one week with this Neutrogena cream and you cannot beat the price! To be honest, I’ve barely used the TATCHA cream since it came in and I’m almost out of the Neutrogena one. Sometimes more expensive doesn’t mean better quality.

6. Peach Slices Acne Spot Dots

peach_slices_acne_spot_dots_01These literally save my life time and time again. I don’t know why but I still get these pesky little pimples even in my 20s. I never really broke out as a teenager and it is very frustrating. But these dots literally soak up your zit (ew lol) overnight and there are no harsh chemicals, or even any chemicals at all, so your skin won’t be severly dry where your pimple once was. These are a MUST and everyone should know about them!

7. Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo

The best dry shampoo known to man kind. This was the first dry shampoo I used years ago, and through those years I’ve tried so many different kinds, and yet I always come back to this one. Not only is this one super affordable and also super easy to pick up at all stores, it also in my opinion works the best. I’ve tried the most expensive dry shampoos, but truly nothing works better than this staple.

8. Tower 28 Beauty ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss

Lip gloss is having a moment and I am here for it. This gloss hits all the marks for me. It is a clean product, it isn’t super sticky, and it is super shinny. I love the colors it comes in and I love that it is a clean product. I am allergic to most lipsticks and lipglosses and this one is super sensitive friendly while still being high quality.

9. Scunci Mini Black RubberbandsScreen Shot 2020-05-17 at 10.54.15 PMThese little rubber bands bring me back to my childhood, but I literally use these everyday. I’ve been braiding my hair non stop in the Q. Whether its to workout, sleep in braids to have crimpy hair the next day, or simply because my hair is just too dirty and needs to be out of my face (lol), these are a must have.

10. Real Techniques Mini MC Sponges

I’ve been so bored in quarantine and I found myself watching so many makeup tutorials. One thing a lot of people suggested was using makeup sponges and blenders. I never hopped on the train years ago, however, I started using these mini ones under my eyes for concealer and it is a game changer. Not only does it make your makeup just look 100 x better, it also is so much better for that delicate skin area. I can’t believe I rubbed my makeup on under my eye for so many years, when I could have been patting it so delicatley with these cute little sponges.

Thats it! My 10 favorite beauty items under $20. I use these items almost everyday and truly truly love them.

Let me know if you try and of these or if you have any other suggestions for me to try!
